Mobile Number Portability helps the telephone users in retaining their cell phone numbers while switching from one network to the other.
Being a mobile user, you get innumerable options to choose from. A lot of us possessing mobile phones are inclined towards switching to some other mobile operator but without losing our current number. Step-by-step process of mobile number portability
Step-1
From the existing number you are using send the below message:

Step- 2
Now just go to your nearest customer service counter or retailer of the network operator you wish to switch to and fill the application form with UPC Code. Also, you will have to give a copy of your valid address proof and identity proof and one passport-size picture. They would give you some tentative date when your number would start functioning with the new operator. You will even get another SIM card.
The customer care center would provide you an empty sim once you have made the payment and submitted the documents. Within one day you would get an acceptance text for confirming the porting.
